Terms of Service

Welcome to GreenCI. By using our service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. What GreenCI Is

GreenCI ("we," "us," "our") is an AI-powered end-to-end testing platform that generates Playwright tests for your CI/CD pipelines. We provide a web dashboard, API, and GitHub Action to help you ship software with confidence.

GreenCI is operated by Sam, based in Georgia, USA.

2. Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).
• One person or entity per account — no shared logins.

3. What You Can Do

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use GreenCI according to your subscription plan. You may:

• Connect your GitHub repositories to generate AI-powered tests
• Use our API and GitHub Action in your CI/CD pipelines
• View and download test results and trace files via the dashboard

4. What You Can't Do

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code
• Use the service to build a competing product
• Share your account credentials or API keys with unauthorized parties
• Abuse the service (excessive load, scraping, automated signups)
• Use GreenCI for any illegal purpose

5. Your Code and Data

Your code stays yours. We do not claim ownership of your repositories, code, or test results.

We access your GitHub repositories solely to read code diffs needed for test generation. We do not:

• Write to your repositories (unless you explicitly configure it)
• Access repositories you haven't connected
• Store full copies of your source code — we process diffs transiently for test generation

Trace files (Playwright traces uploaded from CI) are stored for a retention period that depends on your plan. After the retention period expires, trace files are permanently deleted.

6. Bring Your Own LLM (BYOLLM)

If you choose to use your own LLM provider (AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Ollama, etc.):

• Your data goes directly to your chosen provider. GreenCI facilitates the connection but does not intercept or store the LLM request/response payloads.
• You are responsible for your relationship with that provider, including their terms of service, data handling practices, and any costs incurred.
• GreenCI is not responsible for how your LLM provider processes, stores, or uses your data.
• You must ensure your use of third-party LLM providers complies with their terms and applicable laws.

7. Subscription and Payment

• GreenCI offers paid subscription plans (currently starting at $49/month).
• Payments are billed monthly or annually, depending on your selection.
• All fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
• We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions honor their current rate until renewal.

8. Cancellation

• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
• After cancellation, your data (including trace files) will be retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted.
• If you want your data deleted immediately, contact us.

9. Service Availability

• We aim for high availability but don't guarantee 100% uptime.
• We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice.
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features with notice.

10. Third-Party Services

GreenCI integrates with and relies on third-party services including:

• GitHub — for repository access and CI/CD integration
• Cloudflare — for infrastructure, data storage, and content delivery
• Payment processors — for billing
• LLM providers — for AI-powered test generation (or your own via BYOLLM)

Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• GreenCI is provided "as is" and "as available."
• We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• GreenCI's total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

Specifically:

• We are not responsible for bugs in AI-generated tests. Always review generated tests before relying on them in production.
• We are not liable for issues caused by your LLM provider when using BYOLLM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold GreenCI harmless from claims arising from your use of the service, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third party's rights.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. We'll notify you via email or dashboard notification at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
